Biotech Giants, DuPont, Syngenta and Agrigenetics Inc., sue Hawaiian island with triple pesticide lawsuit

According to the chemical agriculture “society” of America, no U.S. citizens have the right to know what is in their food, what poisons are sprayed on their food, what bacteria are used in the seeds to grow food, and no testing for safety of those toxins is ever necessary. This is the scientific “community” telling the masses they don’t use science to test their food science, to see if it is making mankind sick. This is Biotech telling the island of Kauai they can spray anything they want on the food, and pollute the island with chemicals, and nobody is allowed to know what they are using, how much of it, and that is that! The bullies got “beat up” a little in Hawaii, now regulated some as to where they can spray their cancerous weed and bug killers. The bullies don’t like Measure 2491 because it set a precedent for cities, counties, states and even the country regarding how much abuse people will take before they step up and put up laws and ordinances that protect health and sustainability. After all, the islands are being polluted with these agri-science concoctions that only attempt to kill superweeds and superbugs – basically chemicals that dissolve the insides of bugs, and chemicals that fight off the weeds they created with their herbicide-ready seeds. The bill in Kauai set limits around schools and helps organic farmers know what’s going on around them. Measure 2491 is a supernova, a beacon for the world to see, that we simply can’t let the Biotech cancer food giants rule all the terrain, all the pristine places we know and love, all the pure forests and oceans and perfect blue waters. The protection provisions of 2491 require:

1) Buffer zones between chemical fields and schools, parks, beaches and hospitals.

2) Disclosure of GMO crops (until now, they have largely remained a secret).

3) Public notification before chemical spraying so that concerned citizens can leave the area and limit their exposure.

4) A county-level environmental assessment of the potentially hazardous effects of the toxic chemicals being sprayed on agricultural crops.

5) Full disclosure of the exact pesticides and herbicides being sprayed, as well as location details of where spraying is taking place.

The "big dogs" in chemical agriculture are on a witch hunt to reverse a bill passed by the Kauai County Council back in November that sets reasonable restrictions on the cultivation of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) on the Hawaiian island.
