Dannon is on the same steps as that of Starbucks! Using the same insect juice in their products!

According to Natural News, Dannon, one of the leading global food giants, is using insect juice as a coloring agent in the yogurts they manufacture. This fact was brought to the public's attention by a report from the nonprofit consumer group called Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). They have asked the consumer giant to remove the insect juice immediately before the product is launched in the market.

As per the reports of CSPI, the carminic acid used to color the yogurt is not only harmful but is also responsible for different kinds of allergic reactions in those who consume it. In fact, this advocacy group’s guide strongly states that people should avoid eating processed foods that have this acid in them, as they are highly allergic in nature. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Dannon does not use this ingredient in their yogurts made for the kids.

Many of you might remember that a similar issue broke out in the year 2012 when Starbucks, a world famous coffee chain, was in the spotlight for using this acid in their beverages. And surprisingly, this ingredient is used by Dannon in their products. This is really shocking as it seems that corporate giants fail to learn their lesson in spite of their competitors being in the limelight for the same wrong reason.

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), a consumer advocacy organization, aims to fulfill its 2 missions; one of which is to undertake innovative research and advocacy programs in health and nutrition, and the second one is to inform the consumers about useful information on health and well being.

Inhaling secondhand vapor from electronic cigarettes - it's TOXIC!

First off, here are the facts about secondhand smoke concerning commercial cigarettes, and then we'll take a closer look at secondhand smoke from electronic cigarettes, or "e-cigs" as many users call them. The main concern with electronic cigarettes lies in the fact that the people who use nicotine are exhaling the same amount of nicotine, and maybe even trumped-up MORE, thanks to artificial additives and other chemicals. That means that if a commercial cigarette, which is already jacked up with ammonia to make the nicotine vapor-ready, is exhaled, then the person who breathes that in could be getting two hundred milligrams of nicotine per cigarette. When speaking of electronic cigarettes, those nicotine doses can vary greatly, but still from about ten to twenty milligrams on average, and on down to zero for the people who just "vape" for the fun of it and don't want or need the nicotine, like much of the younger generation. Secondhand smoke fro...
